Not a huge amount of wind but decided to go out anyway to stretch the arms. Managed a few short blasts but mainly off the plane practising tacks and light wind gybes. Found that taking back foot out of strap kept board planing longer, provided water was flat.

Tacking improved by changing sides early, then looking forward to decide whether to keep the sail back to push the board throught the wind or bring it forward if the board had already turned enough. Avoid tendency to fall onto the sail after changing sides as the sail did not usualy give enough support for this.

Gybing definitely improved by looking out of the turn when flipping the rig and by flipping with the board still a long way off the wind. Avoiding tendency to open the sail up clew first also helps - keeping the sail at 90 to the board when clew first.
